Anna Porter, CCBW (Chief Cook & Bottle Washer)
Anna has more than 20 years of experience in program development and project management. She has done consulting and training for non-profit agencies in the areas of marketing, human resource development, recruitment, and curriculum development. In recent years she has brought her expertise to the area of sustainability, developing curriculum and conducting classes, seminars and presentations on green building, marketing and living. She has more than 10 years of direct experience in the green building/design field, having co-designed and co-developed the Porter’s personal green demonstration home. She’s not a green expert; she’s on the green journey.
At PorterWorks, as CCBW, she works on curriculum and presentation development, research, consultation, marketing material development, class delivery planning and preparation, Media Production assistance, Web site maintenance, business management, and employee supervisor.
She has one self-published book and many more on the “drawing table.” She also loves cooking–and eating.
Dave Porter, Director of TMT (Too Many Things)
Dave Porter has been involved in the real estate and mortgage lending for more than 35 years. He has been a marketing and finance expert, trainer and business coach for more than 25 years. In addition to his BA in Education, he holds several key designation, some of which include; LEED GA, NAHB CGP, NAHB CAPS, NAR GREEN, Six Sigma GreenBelt and CEDI. He is a nationally recognized speaker, trainer and writer. He has presented and taught for several organizations including the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the National Association of Realtors® (NAR), and the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). He conducts sales training & coaching and speaks and instructs on Green Building and Universal Design. Dave is approved to teach several NAR and NAHB continuing education and designation classes.
Married to his love of his life since 1979, Dave loves to teach, learn, travel, collect—and drink—wine and eat great foods and go boating in Port Susan.
Kyle Porter, Media Production Specialist
Kyle Porter is videographer, editor, audio engineer, writer, and musician. For over 10 years he has been working in film and video production in a variety of roles, including director, cinematographer, editor, composer, and sound designer. He has also produced and recorded music for over 15 years with dozens of bands and musicians in a myriad of genres.
As Media Production Specialist, Kyle has created countless videos for clients such as WISErg, Building Industry Association of Washington, Washington State Physicians for Social Responsibility, Ted Clifton Homes, ActiveWest, the City of Tukwila, and more.
In 2011, PorterWorks (along with Sage Environmental Services) co-produced their first long-form documentary, “Unwasted: The Future of Business on Earth,” directed by Kyle. It has been viewed thousands of times in 40 countries across the world. In 2016, PorterWorks released its first feature-length documentary, “In Their Memory: The Stanwood Memorial Barn.” This 3-year production involved over 20 interviews and hundreds of man-hours of research.
Other notable work includes an audio installation project for Funko’s flagship retail store in Everett, Washington. This project involved the creation of roughly 90 minutes of original sound design for 20 sound sources throughout the space. Additionally, Kyle has created short documentary projects with several Northwest artists, including sculptor Aaron Haba and multi-disciplinary artist Etsuko Ichikawa.
Kyle has filmed hundreds of interviews and events. He employs professional video and audio recording technology, as well as industry-standard video editing and audio mixing software. He has been praised for his ability to coach interview participants, his dedication to project outcomes, and his professional conduct. Using years of experience as an actor, he has been able to evoke important stories and messages from a variety of individuals on countless topics.
